Morris & Co Arts & Crafts Sussex Bench

A rare Morris & Co Arts & Crafts two seater settle.

As illustrated in their catalogues of the time & with examples shown in museums such as the V&A here in London.

English, late 19th century, beech wood, twin chair, with ring turned supports, swept arms & its original rush seat. A rarely seen two seater model (usually 3 seater which are also particular rare examples). Possibly reduced in height slightly at some point.
