A very rare pair of large, imposing art deco apothecary door handles.

Cast from bronze (giving them good weight) and the design depicting 'The Rod of Asclepius’ or ‘Staff of Aesculapius’ - a single serpent entwined around a staff, representing the Ancient Greek God of healing and serving as the traditional symbol for medicine & health care.

French, early 20th century & In very good condition.
