Joseph was from South Wales (like us) and a painter in oil and watercolour. Born and lived mostly in Newport, Monmouthshire and later in Weymouth, Dorset.

His work was showed at RA and the RWA.

Hennah had a love of the countryside and liked making studies of less obviously picturesque aspects, such as farmyard corners, hedges and gravel pits. He painted a large number of gouaches of South Africa and was particularly attached to the Cornish fishing villages of Polperro and St lves.
