Armchair by William Birch (1820-1888).

A fine example of an arts & crafts armchair by the famous chair maker and designer of the time: William Birch.

Almost certainly a chair made to be retailed through Liberty of London and most likely commissioned by Leonard Wyburd.

It retains its original drop in rush seat and is in excellent condition all over.
