An exceptional and rare 19th-century Welsh hand-carved treen crooked spoon (llwy gam), showcasing the definitive regional characteristics of Caernarfonshire craftsmanship.
Carved from a single block of wood (likely sycamore), this spoon perfectly exemplifies the "dolphin-type" form famously documented by Iorwerth Peate in his seminal 1935 work, “Guide to the collection of Welsh Folk crafts & Industries” for the National Museum of Wales.
Measuring approximately 19 cm long.
