A beautifully observed and well executed original pastel and study of a parliament of owls by the British wildlife artist Stefani Melton Fisher (1894–1963).

Stefani Melton Fisher studied at the Byam Shaw School of Art and the Royal Academy Schools before exhibiting at the Royal Academy and representing Britain at the 1926 Venice Biennale. Best known for his sensitive animal studies, his work demonstrates an exceptional understanding of anatomy, movement and character.
