A remarkable 18th century antique treen punch ladle Probably nut-wood with a lipped bowl of gorgeous colour from use over the years.
The craftsmanship to carve the whole ladel from a single piece of wood is exquisite. The ladel has a clever slight projection on rear of handle to prevent the spoon from slipping into the punch.
Wales, circa 1750 - 1790. From a private collection.
